Perfect Sounds Forever presents Frøkedal & Powerfolk-Familien at Landmark.
Frøkedal has long been a distinctive force in Norwegian music, her guitar-driven alternative pop reaching into both rock and folk. On her latest album, STAY (2024), it was the attempt to learn the fiddle that left the deepest mark: straightforward pop songwriting melds with asymmetrical folk rhythms, waltz and singalong rock. At Landmark, Frøkedal appears in her most folk-rooted form, joined by Powerfolk-Familien: Olav Christer Rossebø (fiddle, mandola), Anders Hana (langeleik, guitar, mouth harp), Ingeleiv Berstad (fiddle, vocals) and Selma French (fiddle, vocals).
Frøkedal has been praised by The New Yorker and The Sunday Times, performed live on BBC Radio6 and received two Spellemann nominations — and has opened for artists including A-ha, Madrugada and Teenage Fanclub.
