Neither Nor Productions is a Bergen-based music-theatre company led by Alwynne Pritchard and Thorolf Thuestad. Working from the premise of music as a cognitive process, a way of thinking, Neither Nor addresses the means of making music-driven theatre. Investigating causal relationships between music, language, the human body, stage action, mechanics, kinetics, electronics, and environment, Neither Nor addresses and redefines the balance of power between music and the many social structures it inhabits. In 2025, Neither Nor will celebrate its 10th anniversary.

For Bergen Kunsthall’s Live Studio, Alwynne and Thorolf will develop scenography, graphic scoring, and light and sound design for their upcoming project, “Lapsing”.

This project has received funding from Norsk kulturråd and Bergen kommune. The visual material for the graphic scores and scenography is being printed at Trykkeriet, Bergen. As part of our Live Studio research, Pritchard and Thuestad will be briefly joined by lighting designer Silje Grimstad.
