Welcome to the second round of club Herz! Once again, we invite you to share the space and the dance floor all night long.
This time, the evening commences at 21:00 with an art viewing featuring works produced by the undersigned and close friends. The exhibition “ALL WORK NO PLAY” delves into themes of regression, rationalisation, and development. What excuses do we use to shield ourselves from the minor and major inconveniences of daily life? When did hobbies actually become CV-fodder rather than leisure activities driven by desire? How do we reclaim play?
From 23:00, the dance floor will be set for the characteristic, warm club atmosphere that carries into the late-night hours.
HERZ (DJ set):
Herz is the debut concept from Bergen-based DJs Hun Høie and Isabel Fox. Together, they have carved out a repertoire on their USB drives that they hope will provide the heartfelt feeling that belongs on the dance floor. We do not actually speak German, but we hope that dance-loving souls will take our music to their hearts.
Tim Fandango (VJ):
Tim Fandango always draws outside the lines and values carelessness. Hand-drawn sketches and collages are fused and digitally manipulated. Through characteristic, rough pen strokes, simple geometry is broken down, revealing a chaotic underworld of raw human inadequacy that, in Fandango’s eyes, is the humorous beauty of the imperfect.
