Vill Vill Vest presents Wiffeney and Hannah Furberg at Landmark on Thursday. Vill Vill Vest returns for its eleventh edition from 5 to 7 November 2026, with more than 60 new artists from across Norway on stages large and small around Bergen. Landmark is one of the festival’s venues on all three nights.
Wiffeney is a Norway-based band started by two best friends: Grammy-nominated drummer and producer Jai D (Jay Z, Tyler, The Creator, Haelos) and animator Steph Hope (FX Networks, Haruomi Hosono). Soulful vocals ride over infectious rhythms, sprawling guitars and gloopy synths, alongside the band’s trademark psychedelic visuals. Since their first single, “Townhouse”, in 2025 they have played Tokyo, Paris and London and toured the UK. Their self-produced debut EP was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Monmouthshire and engineered by Jack Boston (The Cure). With Steph Hope (vocals), Fredrik Svabø (guitar), Andreas Rukan (bass) and Herman Krogh (drums).
Hannah Furberg and her band meet somewhere between neo-soul and jazz-pop, with energy to spare. Since starting out on the jazz programme in Trondheim they have played Øya, Pstereo, Trondheim Calling and Oslojazz, among others, and Jazz i Norge has called Furberg “Oslo’s next queen of soul”. With Hedda Örnsten (keys), Tarald Kongshaug (bass), Jens Boderup (guitar) and Øyvind Leite (drums).
