Bergen-Ghanaian afro-techno! What do you get when you pair an energetic Ghanaian on vocals and percussion with a techno-head from Minde and a Danish multi-instrumentalist? The answer is Vestland Sound Machine.
The music is dark and electronic, representing the underground of our city’s electronic music scene, while the vocals and percussion – inspired by Ghanaian folk music – provide the warmth that invites the audience into this wild universe. There are many examples of Afro-European musical groups that team up to blend the best of both worlds. In our opinion, very few manage to make it sound great. We are proud and delighted that Vestland Sound Machine is nailing this right here in Bergen.
Their debut concert with us back in 2018 still stands as one of the WILDEST concerts we have ever staged, and we couldn’t be more excited to have them back!
