Launch of Festival Exhibition Artist 2026

Be the very first to know! On Friday 29 August at 18:00, we invite our members to an exclusive evening at Landmark, where we will announce next year’s Festival Artist. The exhibition is a major highlight for us, and we want to share this news with our members first.
The artist will be present. This is a unique opportunity to meet the artist in person at the very moment the commission is announced. Director Kjersti Solbakken and exhibition curator Silja Leifsdottir will also say a few words about the selection and the upcoming exhibition.
We will offer light refreshments upon arrival. The event is free and exclusive for members, and you are welcome to bring one guest.
The Festival Exhibition is one of Norway’s most important contemporary art exhibitions and is considered the most prestigious commission for a Norwegian artist in their home country. The exhibition has been produced and presented at Bergen Kunsthall every year since 1953. Recent Festival Exhibition Artists include Tori Wrånes (2025), Toril Johannessen (2024), Camille Norment (2023), Lene Berg (2022), Elisabeth Haarr (2021), Joar Nango (2020), and Ane Hjort Guttu (2015).
