KMD MA Exhibition 2025: I could only see the back of it

Life is full of curves. It is not a straight line. Sometimes when we finish a curve we think it is the end of something. But it is only part of the way, isn’t it?

I could only see the back of it.
Can you see it as well?
Come inside. See the back of it and dare to imagine the rest.

Emad, Odin, Christine, Joey, Dorota, Nina, Amund, Loulou, Sara, Ole-Kristian, Kaja, Sissel, Maia, Olav, Hannah, Rita, Sayeh, Viola, Henriette, Yasemin, Collen, Maisen, Line, Lisa, August, Johanna, Clara, Carol, Namata and Nanna are coming to the end of a two-year Master in Fine Art at KMD.

“I could only see the back of it” is the fragmented body they invented.

It is a rehearsal to heal; a strategy to criticize institutional and worldly limitations, a dance with beauty, an exploration that started with the end of the world, and more. It has one feminist arm, and another that does not like labels, one of its legs insists on walking through linear time, and another flirts with revolution and change. In its belly, you find many obsessions.

You may be wondering why the poetic I is at the beginning of the name of this show. The rumour I heard is that an exhibition that wants to tickle you needs the poetic I.
