Launch of the 2027 Festival Artist

Bergen Kunsthall invites you to the first presentation of next year’s Festival Artist.
Festspillutstillingen, the Festival Exhibition, is one of Norway’s most significant contemporary art exhibitions and among the most prestigious commissions a Norwegian artist can receive. Bergen Kunsthall curates and produces it, and it has run alongside Festspillene i Bergen since the festival’s first edition in 1953. In 2027, it takes place for the 75th time.
Director Kjersti Solbakken and curator Silja Leifsdóttir introduce the artist and the exhibition, which opens during Festspillene i Bergen in 2027.
The launch was originally scheduled for 2 September and has been moved to 13 September.
Earlier the same day, at 14:00 and in the same room, Nazanin Noori meets curator Jade Meili Barget for a conversation and listening session ahead of the premiere of A LETTER TO EUROPE. It is open to all.
