Join us for a playful and imaginative workshop inspired by the exhibitions by Anawana Haloba and Hanni Kamaly, currently on show at Bergen Kunsthall. Together, children and adults are invited to explore how everyday objects, memories, and materials can be transformed into something completely new. Through drawing, painting, weaving, and experimenting with different materials, families will create their own imaginative combinations and stories.
The workshop encourages children to think creatively, play freely, and discover how art can connect to identity, traditions, and the world around us. By mixing unexpected things together, we open up new ideas and possibilities — and learn how creativity and reuse can shape a more sustainable future.
No previous experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to explore together.

Walk through our exhibitions with one of our educators at Bergen Kunsthall, and experience the newly commissioned installations by Anawana Haloba and Hanni Kamaly.
Together, the tour will explore themes of memory, identity and resistance through sculpture, sound, film, text, and installation. The tour offers insight into the artists’ ideas and working processes, while opening up space for conversation and reflection.
No prior knowledge of contemporary art is needed — everyone is welcome.
