Critically acclaimed Vilnes offers a powerhouse of a concert experience with songs that blend indie pop, country soul and Americana – with top-class communication skills and musicality.
The Bergen-based band released their debut album Outsider in May (produced by Eirik Marinius Sandvik at Bergen Kjøtt). All three singles before the album release were radio-listed, and the song Outlaw was selected for Spotify’s playlist “a good dose of country”.
After a sold-out release concert, Vilnes has been in the news with an autumn tour in the east and west, and received much praise on Øya Tuesday during the Øya Festival. Now the band has warmed up well to deliver on their home turf.
Frontman and songwriter Eivind Vilnes has previously been described as an “indie pop genius” (Nordic Music Review) and an artist “of international calibre”, highlighted as a vocalist with an “impressive voice and excellent communication skills” (BT).
With him he has a dynamic and talented band that has garnered much praise for its live performances, which include Bergenfest, Klubbøya and Malakoff.
