This talk will adress the relationship between depression and the end in Lars von Triers film Melancholia. He will look at death and finitude trough the eyes of psychoanalytical theory, with a clinical grounding in the experience of depression.

Anders Ohnstad (1980) is currently a student of clinical psychology. He has a master degree in comparative literature focusing on Marguerite Duras and newer currents in French philosophy. He works in a mental institution on week-ends.
