Transplant Sessions #5 'SUB-URB´

Following an ambient introduction to what is going on at Transplant through champagne, film and chatting, resident DJ and Transplant Sessions co-ordinator Uraki Riddim will perform and curate a musical and visual showcase of Nordic-themed electronic music and visual talent. Acts from as far a part as France and Scotland to local Bergen acts on the up and established will ensure a great mind opening and grooving night for all lucky to be in attendance.

DJ ASEL / 21:00 – 22:00
Ekko Fest organizer opens proceedings with an eclectic selection of his latest musical discoveries. The well-known record spinner and musical promoter Asel has got an insanely eclectic and gigantic collection of records. In addition Asel is the main man (the one and only le big boss) of the Ekkofestival, so to understand his taste in music one can simply read the entire Ekko-program. He knows how to pass on the love for good music!

DJ set from Transplant Sessions and DO IT! resident with visuals by Oslo based French designer Julie Arrivé. Organizer, DJ and designer of artsy graphic sh** for Transplant Sessions in Norway and the DO IT collective from Scotland Uraki Riddim is ‘Digging&spinning new beats,words&noise from peoples all over the globe since the birth of open ears. Dispersing and serving up an original Scotch Broth sound for all.’ Realize!

BRIAN D´SOUZA live / 12.00 – 01:00
Glasgow based sound designer, producer and DJ performs a live show of brand new works. Never one to stay still musically, his sets include a mixture of Electro, Italo, Dubstep, Disco, Techno, Acid House and Electronica. Also a producer and live performer – his Sound Trap Ep has reached the top 5 of Kompakt’s charts while ‘Headfuck’ received plays from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos. Live under Snailman and Auntie Flo guises he received the prestigious Live Connections award from the PRSF for ‘Noises’, his live Audio-Visual collaboration with BAFTA-winning visual artist Ling Lee.

TOBII, SANHUEZA + friends / 01:00 – 03:00
During the past decade or so Bergen has brought up several great artists within the genre of electronic music, and the rumor claims that Tobii just might be the citys next protégé child. Tobii is an up-and-coming Bergen-based DJ, producer and artist, which makes extremely dance-friendly techno/ house. Bergen based electronic talents perform a live dj set with some exciting twists!!!

The culmination of four Transplant Sessions will see the idyllic and unique settings of Transplant transformed to a wider audience and through a larger platform this month. On the 22nd August Transplant design competence center and Transplant Sessions will takeover Landmark in Bergen for an evening of music, culture, dialogue and dancing.
