For a number of years, Bergen’s old fire station has been used by retired firefighters who want to build a fire museum there. freethought’s “The Museum of Burning Questions” is a space for reflection and debate installed inside the fire station, addressing the future of museums and burning questions in general.
The Dancing Tables Archive at Bergen Kunsthall is an archive of “The Museum of Burning Questions”, including the film Brandstasjon. Created in collaboration with the retired firefighters, the film tells the story of their work, their struggle for the museum, and what they consider to be the most “burning questions” of our time.
“The Museum of Burning Questions” is a project by freethought in collaboration with the artist Isa Rosenberger, and part of the triennial Bergen Assembly.
