Simone Hooymans: The Perpetual Tapestry

This Thursday evening we are lucky to be welcomed by Malin Barth, director of Kunsthall 3,14. She will give us a tour of the exhibition “The Perpetual Tapestry” by Simone Hooymans.
Simone Hooymans is an animation artist who transforms watercolour drawings into vivid, immersive worlds. Through animation she explores climate change, contemporary global politics and our relationship with nature, casting a critical eye on the world around us. Her work has been shown internationally at festivals and exhibitions including Ars Electronica, the Netherlands Film Festival and the Beijing Short Film Festival, as well as at exhibitions and film festivals in Europe, Asia and the US. In Norway, her animations have been shown at Statens Høstutstilling and Vestlandsutstillingen.
