The next opportunity for our members is a private viewing of the exhibition “This mud-formed life” by Athens based artist Chimoa Ebinama . We will be met by the exhibition curator, Scott Elliott and he will give us an introduction to Hordaland Kunstsenter and a tour of Ebinama´s exhibition.

Chioma Ebinama is a Nigerian-American artist working primarily in watercolor. Her range of topics is wide, from queer identities and matriarchal power to precolonial philosophies and mythologies. For Chioma, these offer space to articulate visions of freedom outside of Western social and political paradigms.

Hordaland Kunstsenter is a resource centre for contemporary art in the context of the Vestland region in Norway. Our core activity includes a public program of exhibitions, events and conversations, mediation and educational projects, as well as projects that has to do with art in public space. The art centre includes a bookshop, a café and an all-year-round residency program.
