On the occasion of the opening of D. Harding’s exhibition We breathe together at Bergen Kunsthall, curator and writer Vivian Ziherl will be in conversation with the artist about their work and influences.
D Harding was born in 1982 in Moranbah on the lands of the Barada Barna people (Australia), lives and works in Brisbane on the lands of the Turrbal and Jagera people. Recent exhibitions include documenta 14 in Athens and Kassel (2017), ARS22 at Kiasma–Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki, Reclaim the Earth at Palais de Tokyo in Paris and the 23rd Biennale of Sydney (all 2022).
Vivian Ziherl is the Research and Programs Manager at Kunstinstituut Melly, in Rotterdam. She previously founded ‘Frontier Imaginaries’, an art commissioning and exhibitions platform based between Amsterdam and Brisbane, and has presented projects with documenta 14 (Athens and Kassel), e-flux and Columbia University (New York), the Institute of Modern Art (Brisbane), the Jerusalem Show and Qalandiya International (Jerusalem), the Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), and the Van Abbemuseum (Eindhoven). She has served as curator with If I Can’t Dance I Don’t Want to be Part of Your Revolution, and is a PhD candidate in curatorial studies at Monash University.
