French songs, noises, rumors of distant and early musics, short and cruel poems, handcrafted instruments, radio-amplifiers, circuit bending and other wasted electronic devices, the French orchestra Bégayer pursues a gesture for those without a folklore, for this culture of void, structured by the gloaming of popular habitus as well as glitches from noise music.
Contumace is the solo project of Lionel Fernandez – the guitarist in the legendary French noise rock band Sister Iodine. Here we get rattling guitar sounds from one of Europe's leading effects pedal tractors!
Utmark is Bergen Kunsthall’s own concert series, presenting Norwegian and international musicians from a wide range of genres, with a focus on alternative expressions and experimental, visionary and exploratory music. Utmark events are free to members of Bergen Kunsthall, Borealis Listening Club and students of BAS, KMD and Grieg Academy.
