Next Time We Meet on Broadway
Iris Nelly Matilda Bengtsson (1992, Sweden) works with the relationship to memory and the borderlands between seriousness and play. Her works are often poetic with a fragile and embarrassing side. During the last years she has been working with scenography, narratives and improvisation of dialogues in an attempt to see how the vulnerability of childhood penetrates into one’s adult life. The piece presented at the MA exhibition is a personal timeline projected on the idea of the musical, as a meditation on how life fails us in our search for the epic.
