Live Stream

Combatting streaming fatigue, but keeping us on our toes visually and sonically, experimental violinist, White Mountain Apache musician and sound artist Laura Ortman, has created a new performance film in collaboration with filmmakers Victoria Keddie of Brooklyn's ESP TV and Navajo Nation filmmaker Nanobah Becker that will be screened during the evening. Sandwiched in the middle are three young musicians, Vilde Sandve Alnæs, Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø and Christian Meaas Svendsen making their debut as an improvising trio, in a time where musicians' colliding sound waves is a rare commodity. The home team is represented by Vestlandet native Lars Holdhus and his software TCFX. Holdhus recently returned to Norway after many years working in Berlin, and is presenting the next stage of his generative sound and visual work TCFX live at Bergen Kjøtt.

And to end the evening we share with you a specially commissioned DJ set from the unusually amazing duo 700 Bliss for the bus home, to bring our socially distanced dance moves to all corners of the city. Be sure to remember a smart phone and headphones to listen in to the DJ set.

Utmark is Bergen Kunsthall's own concert series, presenting Norwegian and international musicians from a wide range of genres, with a focus on alternative expressions and experimental, visionary and exploratory music.

Presented in collaboration with Borealis – a festival for experimental music and Bergen Kjøtt.

Borealis 2021 takes place 17 March – 21 March and will be Live&Online, Safe&Weird, Home&Away and Kind&Wild. Check out this years programme on their website!

TCFX is supported by Re-Imagine Europe, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
