Avant Joik is the joint project of Norwegian composer and performer Maja S.K. Ratkje and Katarina Barruk, a vocalist from the Sami community of northern Sweden who is dedicated to the continuity of her culture and language. Live visuals by the Sami artist Matti Aikio.
