Bergen Kunsthall
Personalized (Soma)tic Poetry Rituals with CAConrad
, 14:00

Bergen Kunsthall is excited to welcome two hugely acclaimed writers – poet, performer and novelist Eileen Myles and visionary poet and writer CAConrad – for a series of workshops and events exploring radical reading, writing, ritual and magical practices around gender and intimacy. Beatrice Gibson worked with CAConrad and Myles on her new film I Hope I’m Loud When I’m Dead, presented in Bergen Kunsthall 25 January – 31 March 2019.

CAConrad has successfully used (Soma)tic poetry rituals to overcome depression, following the murder of their boyfriend Earth. Through one-to-one sessions, CAConrad will offer a personalized ritual drawing on various factors in your life.

CAConrad is the author of 9 books of poetry and essays. While Standing in Line for Death (Wave Books), received the 2018 Lambda Award. A recipient of a Pew Fellowship in the Arts, they also received The Believer Magazine Book Award and The Gil Ott Book Award. Their work has been translated into Spanish, Greek, Polish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Danish and German. They teach regularly at Columbia University in NYC, and Sandberg Art Institute in Amsterdam, and their books, films, essays, rituals and other publications can be found online at
