How to print a practice: Making Requests and Antisongs

“Requests and Antisongs” is the most comprehensive publication on Richards work to date. The book translates the strategies of his artistic practice into the rhythm of printed matter. Published on the occasion of James Richards’ recent exhibition «Crumb Mahogany» at Bergen Kunsthall. Co-published with Institute of Contemporary Arts, London; Kestner Gesellschaft, Hanover and Sternberg Press.

Mason Leaver-Yap works with artists to produce texts, exhibitions, and events. Recent projects include work with Lizzie Borden, Uri Aran, Leslie Thornton, Lucy McKenzie and Atelier EB, Andrea Büttner, Shahryar Nashat, Moyra Davey, Jesse Jones and Vaari Claffey, Sharon Hayes, Charlotte Prodger, and Pauline Boudry/Renate Lorenz.
