This time, we start the session with presentations from artists and musicians Emilie Wright and Mira Thiruchelvam about their new works in progress. The presentations will be in both English and Norwegian and we will help each other with translation.

Emilie is an artist from Australia now living and working in Bergen. They work with a predominantly experimental and exploratory sound-based practice. In their work, they reflect on technology, ecology and acceleration from a Posthumanist Feminist perspective whilst working through notions of public, domestic and internal space in relation to gender, temporality and embodiment. Most recently Emilie has been delving into the world of analogue synths whilst also exploring cathartic vocal work for a series of workshops and public performance.

Mira Thiruchelvam is a flutist, composer and producer. She plays in the band 9 grader nord. Mira won the Edvard prisen in the category «utfordrer»" for her composition of the album "Jaffna".
